But hey, thanks for saying it.
Maybe we should bring the good cardinal stateside more often!
“But Kasper would have none of that. He repeated a familiar refrain: “The pope is not a liberal. He is a radical.”

Dear SArmaticus, hope you don’t mind our having a little fun with this one– it seemed like something we could really sink our teeth into, AND it’s educational… 🙂 🙂

Definition: Radical: from Latin “radix” meaning root. Characterized by departure from tradition; innovative or progressive. Favoring or effecting fundamental or revolutionary changes in current practices, conditions, or institutions.
____
What is a root-canal and when is it necessary?
– Root canal treatment is an extremely beneficial option that allows for most to be saved.
-There are many things that can damage the core, trauma, fracture, infection.
-It is very important to do a thorough examination for a proper diagnosis, as untreated infection will continue to grow and infect its surroundings, can even lead to death.
-The pain that comes is fairly specific and can progress to very severe and generalized.
-The only way to remove the infection completely is by cleaning out all the dead tissue and infection, at the core.
___
-Root resorption is another condition, whereby the structure dissolves away as a reaction to injury, trauma, replantation, or aggressive movement.
Not all of the causes are fully understood.
-If the defect starts from the of the root and goes inward, it is called EXTERNAL root resorption. If the inside dissolves and progresses toward the outside, it is classified as INTERNAL resorption.
– In either situation, the resorption can invade the vital, life-sustaining structures contained therein.
-If this occurs, the root canal AND specialized conditioning and repairing is needed.

Let’s keep praying for the Consecration of Russia, and maybe such radical procedures won’t be necessary after all. 🙂
