Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor

Over the last month, a lot has been happening which frankly I have not had time to write about since I have been traveling with the family over the course of this Christmas and New Year’s Season. However, I was following events, so please don’t worry, I know all about Fluffy the pet cat meeting his owner in heaven. But I digress…

Back to the story.

Now that I am back, I pick up the story at the end of November of 2014.

November saw a large development occurring that shook and is still shaking the Church circles in Rome to their core, but was for the most part ignored or even suppressed by the wider Catholic and secular news media. This development was due the revelations which appeared in the book titled The Great Reformer: Francis and the Making of a Radical Pope, whose author is Dr. Austen Ivereigh, the former spokesman for Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor.

In the book,

Dr. Ivereigh makes the allegations …

(I say again, Dr. Ivereigh makes the allegations. Please keep this in mind, since the spin machine is working overtime to confuse and confound on this one.)

that

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor, the former leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales, helped to orchestrate a behind-the-scenes lobbying campaign which led to the election of Pope Francis, a new biography claims. (see here)

The story broke on the 22 and 23 of November 2014.

The From Rome blog (see here) is following this story very closely and with precise detail. On the website, a Chronology of Reports on “Team Bergoglio” page (see here) the blog provides the timeline of events as they transpire for all interested parties who are tracking this story. On a personal note, after following this story, I highly recommend that this Chronology be used, since it goes a long way in providing required information which “thwarts the spin” that is being employed by the leftist ideologues post-conciliar elements within the church and the “crony press” that is supporting the Francis position. Furthermore, I strongly suggest that you, dear reader familiarize yourself with this material since this story isn’t over by any long shot.

But back to the story. The entry for 22 November 2014 on the Chronology page, the day that the story itself broke, is self explanatory and is as follows:

Nov. 22, 2014: John Bingham, reporter for the Telegraph, writes his report, Pope Francis: how cardinals’ Conclave lobbying campaign paved way for Argentine pontiff, which appears on the online edition at 8:15 PM London time. It is in this report that the allegations of Dr. Ivereigh, regarding vote canvassing are first made news. All the subsequent reports will react to this. (On Nov. 26, this article was published, with later information, in a Spanish translation by Secretum Meum Mihi Blog, here.)

And as we probably know by now, that the problem with “vote canvassing” (or as the Daily Telegraph writes: “orchestrate a behind-the-scenes lobbying campaign which led to the election of Pope Francis”), is the following:

Now, the problem which arises for Pope Francis, from this, I have pointed out in my blog post yesterday, namely, that an election in which those who might fall under excommunication for violation of this law, expressed in n. 81, might be contested as to its validity. This on account of the general norm of Canon Law (canon 171, § 2), which expressly declares invalid the elections of those who obtained the required number only in virtue of votes of those who were excommunicated at the time of the election (cf. 171, § 1, 3°).

The above citation is from the From Rome blog post titled Ivereigh + UDG 81 = A Radical Problem for the Pope and was published on the 27th of November, 2014. (see here)

Between the 27th of November 2014 and the 7th of December 2014, quite a number of news outlets picked up the story, while the Vatican Press office was actively engaged in suppression of this information.

On the 4th of December 2014, in the post titled Vatican Radio seeks to kill story on “Team Bergoglio”, the following is posted: (see here)

However, what most do not know, is that within hours of Tosatti’s published comments, the Vatican was moving behind the scenes to quash the story. For the Italian blog, il Sismografo, which published Fr. Frederico Lombardi’s carefully worded denial of the allegations, is, unbeknownst to many, run by Fr. Lombard’s colleagues at Radio Vaticana.

The significance of the Tosatti “comments” is that they gave the story the “traction” outside of the UK, and it was this “traction” that propelled the breaking “Team Bergoglio” story into the various global news outlets. In other words, it was Tosatti that made the story a BFD, to paraphrase our “eloquent” Vice-President.

On the 7th of December 2014, the From Rome blog published the post titled 4 Ways the “ Team Bergoglio” Revelations undo Francis’ papacy, (see here) and the following passage appears:

For all these reasons, we believe that the truth of the “Team Bergoglio” affair needs to be revealed and a most severe punishment needs to be leveled; and all doubt as to the validity of Pope Francis’ election must be removed. And there seems no way to do that, in a manner that would be acceptable to all, unless as UDG n. 5 lays out, the College of Cardinals is convened in special consistory, into which Pope Francis enters with the humility necessary to abdicate if necessary. For there is no greater love, than to lay down one’s papacy for the sake of the salvation of the consciences of the weak little lambs in Christ’s Fold.

Real Humility!

This brings us to the 7th of Decemer 2014 where I will leave off for today.

But before I leave off, it needs to be stated that this is not ONLY an issue of just a “questionable” papacy. This issue is much, much, much larger. The seriousness of this issue arises from the fact that it implicates the entire “leftist ideological” progressive leadership of the post conciliar church. The individuals involved in the “Team Bergoglio” scandal are the following cardinals:

Bergoglio,

Murphy-O’Connor,

Kasper,

Lehmann,

Danneels,

Vingt-Trois,

Abril y Castelló,

Schönborn and

O’Malley.

The Ivereigh allegations also encompass cardinals from Africa and the majority of those from South America.

Up to 30 cardinals so far in all.

If proven true, which appears to be the case from the forensic examination of the evidence thus far (as of today, the 13 of January 2014), the penalty is: (once again see here)

Such excommunication could be by special or general declaration, of a superior or by a law. Thus, the papal Law on Elections.

If it comes to “such excommunication”, this excommunication WOULD wipe out the entire devils brigade “progressive” post-conciliar leadership class responsible for the destruction of the Holy Roman Catholic Church in one fell swoop.

Crazy you say dear reader?

Hold that thought…
