Germans Attacking Poland

L to R: Günther Oettinger (Christian Democratic Union), Angela Merkel (Christian Democratic Union) and Martin Schulz (Socialist Democratic Union)

We veer off into the political domain in today’s post. I don’t usually write about politics, but since the story does involve the same forces that were behind the HERETICAL CLERICALISTS at the Synod of Bishops and also involves a leading Church official, Bishop Wieslaw Mering, the Archbishop of Włocław, I will make an exception.

I am also posting this information in support my observation that the “fight” has come back into the Polish Episcopate Conference. The Church is really finding its voice, from what I can see here on the ground. How else can one explain the tone and content of the below letter?

Speaking of “on the ground”, as I noted in several posts, the Armaticii Family landed in Poland in the middle of December of 2015 only to find ourselves in the middle of a war zone. It is not a conventional war, in the sense that bullets and artillery shells are not flying. Yet! However, it is a war none the less. Only this war is being waged in the media by the INTERNATIONAL LEFTIST ORGANIZATIONS. Where have we heard this before? Oh yes, at the Stealth Sex Synod™ of 2015, that is where. (see here)

So back to Poland. Since the election of the President in May and a new majority government in September, the LEFTIST INTERNATIONAL and their local useful idiots have been in a panic. The NARRATIVE that these organizations are pushing is that there was a “coup” in Poland.

A “coup”, brought about through democratically held elections and with overwhelming popular support. On an aside, this was the first government that obtained an outright majority in any free election in Poland… EVAHHHHH.

Or at least since the II Republic came to an end due to the German/Russian invasion in 1939.

How funny is that? Apparently not so funny, to our LEFTIST clique. But then again, who ever knew of a LEFTIST with a sense of humor? But I digress…

Back to the story. So this NARRATIVE is being played out, with the European Parliament and the international journalist organizations leading the charge. Naturally this is all being funded by the NGO’s and naturally Mr. Soros has his big, fat finger in this pie. (see here and here)

Which is where the Archbishop of Włocław comes into the picture. In December of last year, the good Archbishop wrote a letter to the Speaker of the House equivalent, at the European Parliament.

This individual, one Martin Schulz is a German apparatchik who “fronts” a left position in the EU parliament. His cohorts in the European Parliament, those who are members of the “Christian Democratic Union”, a party that was formerly affiliated with the Catholic Church, are no better. They might “front” a right position, yet they are likewise beating up on the new Polish government who, one would assume, has similar if not identical values to those held by these conservative, Catholic (Christian) German politicians. You know, them being all Christians and democrats and conservative, etc. and all that.

But it turns out that this just isn’t the case. So the good Archbishop took the initiative and wrote Mr Schulz a letter. It is this letter that I am reproducing below. If you notice, the letter is written in a polite, yet biting and sarcastic style. In the letter, the Archbishop does not mince words nor does he avoid addressing political taboos. He even ridicules the EU’s penchant for trying to draft absurd laws which regulate the curvature of bananas or the labeling on water bottles alerting the consumer to the fact that “water does not necessarily quench ones thirst”. On an aside, we Catholics know “thirsts being quenched”, but I highly doubt that this is what the intent was behind this absurd piece of legislation. Excuse the digression…

Leaving off here today, I am translating the letter that Archbishop Mering wrote to Mr. Schulz. I am linking the original post where you, dear reader can find the Polish and German version for your viewing pleasure.

And one final note, if only the US bishops could adopt Archbishop Mering’s posture when dealing with the two clowns in the White House and Domus Sanctae Marthae, it would no doubt do more for the evangelization effort than any document coming out from the pen of this cleric (see here).

Anyways, the original post can be found here, and the translation is as follows:

Tough letter! Bp Mering writes to Martin Schulz: “I Certainly know my country better than you Sir – you missed an opportunity to remain quiet!”

It was with great amazement and indignation that I read your opinion of the “coup” in Poland.

I certainly know my country better than you Sir: I now live in my homeland for 70 years; I assure you that the elections of the President and the new government in Poland are not evidence of absence of democracy. The elections showed that most ordinary citizens of my country wanted change. The problem is that those who had hitherto been in power lost the election; therefore they do not want to surrender to the verdict of the elections and are using, for their own interests the European Parliament.

– Bishop Wieslaw Mering wrote to Martin Schulz, the President of the European Parliament.

In connection with successive voices flowing from the European Union about the situation in Poland, the diocese of Włocław published a letter dated 15 December 2015.

It was with great amazement and indignation that I read your opinion of the “coup” in Poland.

The (EU) Parliament, under your leadership, is certainly busy with very important issues, including the length of the candle flame and the amount of water in cisterns.

There are no politicians today in Brussels of a higher class, or people seeking the common good of societies making up the European Union. Political correctness coupled with pettiness is not conducive to wisdom. It is a pity that you – as Mr Chirac once quipped – likewise “missed an opportunity to keep quiet”.

I am aware that you Sir, will not change your position and will not apologize to the Poles. You Sir would need to be of a higher stature to acknowledge your mistake.

Therefore, in these “winter holidays” (as you, of course, call Christmas) I wish you prudence, wisdom and imagination.
