Today is the Vigil of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is the biggest of the Marian feasts in the Roman Liturgical Calendar. At least for the Poles it is. And since I am a favorite son,…. You get the drift.
As for the Poles, the Feast of the Assumption has an added significance. It was on the Feast of the Assumption in 1920, that the Polish Army halted the invasion of the Russian Bolshevik Army, simultaneously stopping the Bolshevik invasion of the European Continent. The victory of the newly created Polish Army of the newly created Polish II Republic stunned not only the Red Army but the Western observers themselves. I am linking to a great Crisis Magazine post on just this topic here.
Today, the threat to the European mainland, much like in the 1920 is much the same. On the one hand there is a foreign IDEOLOGY, the antithesis of Catholicism that is trying to capture and defeat the greatest civilization that has been created by man, again. There is also a fifth column in the heart of Europe itself. This fifth column likewise, just like the one in 1920, thinks that they had figured out how to bring about a utopia based on a fabrication, a banal product of the moment, consisting of nothing more than quasi-theological ramblings of madmen and token platitudes such as
Liberté, égalité, fraternité “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs, “Proselytization is solemn nonsense”. “Do you need to convince the other to become Catholic? No, no, no! Go out and meet him, he is your brother. This is enough. Go out and help him and Jesus will do the rest.”
If not for the Poles and the victory on the Vistula River on the Feast of the Assumption, the European Continent would have faced the same fate as the unfortunate Russian population (estimates range between 20m and 40m murdered), or later the Chinese peasants (here estimates reach even 100m killed) just to mention a couple.
When looking at what transpired 96 years ago tomorrow, and the CONTEXT in which it transpired, most of the same elements are in place. Most with the exception of one. The major difference between 1920 and today is that we have the See of St. Peter on the side of the enemy. Never in the history of Europe has the successor of St. Peter taken the side of the enemies of Christ.
Non compos mentis is a term that comes to mind. But I digress…
It is what it is, and we all must say the things that need to be said.
With this in mind, I have finally, finally gotten around to putting up the “Soap Bubble Papacy”™ page at to top of my blog. This page chronicles the follies of the present occupant of the See of St. Peter (or one of them to be more exact). The page also contains the chronicling of the fight for the Restoration that is taking place in spite of the sheer madness if not outright stupidity that is emanating for behind the Sacred Vatican Walls.
I have decided to do this in turn, based on something that Fr. Karl Stehlin said in his homily that I reproduced in the post titled The SSPX Wants To Know, Who’s On First? (see here) In his homily, Fr. Stehlin makes the following observation:
What we (the SSPX) do, he (Francis) doesn’t appreciate at all. You see, that all what we say, is just contradictory to… that what he (Francis) says is a contradictory to that what is the teaching of the Church most of the times. Our reply is, as also it is in the statement, is not to judge, it is not to raise the finger and become the judge of the living and the dead, but it is to pray. We pray and we are going to do penance. And therefore, from the 15th of August, we organize the next rosary crusade which will (encompass) the globe for one year, until 2017, in honor of Our Lady of Fatima, request of 12 million of rosaries and 50 million of sacrifices done by our Faithful. Our General Superiors requires us from the 15th of August.
And why is this crusade being organized?
In order that the Holy Catholic Tradition will be now, really recognized by Rome and that the people understand that this total confusion must finish and who will finish this confusion, and this is my second point now, it is nobody else but Our Lady.
So this morning, I picked up my official SSPX Rosary Crusade tally sheet (see here) for yours truly and the Armaticii, young and old. All the cool kids not only have one, but are counting their rosaries and acts of penance! And for the next year, the Armaticus family will be praying and doing penance to Our Lady of Fatima.
And one more thing, below is the contents of what is on the “Soap Bubble Papacy”™ page.
It’s actually quite uplifting!
“It is superficial. Were this a religious movement, the churches would be full”
– Walter Cardinal Brandmuller On The Real Francis Effect
This page is dedicated to what I have designated as the “Soap Bubble Papacy”™.
The term itself comes from a Francis, the bishop of Rome sermon given at the Domus Sanctae Marthae on the 26th of October 2014. In that sermon, Francis said: (see here)
If you “do not have something substantial, you too will pass like all things.”
And then Francis added the following words that will go down in infamy:
“How many Christians live for appearances? Their life seems like a soap bubble. The soap bubble is beautiful, with all its colours! But it lasts only a second, and then what?
In those two phrases, Francis, using the psychological self defense mechanism of “projection”, (see here) explained exactly who he is. Furthermore, he also explained what his pontificate will consist of, for all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Recognizing what Francis, the bishop of Rome had said, your humble blogger in turn relaunched this blog as the Deus Ex Machina Blog and started to chronicle the “Soap Bubble Papacy”™.
Below are posts that chronicle this “Soap Bubble Papacy”™.
Note Bene, I do not intend to either mock or deride Francis on these pages. As you will notice, I do not chronicle things such as opening a barbershop or a flop house at the Vatican, or genuflecting when going to confession but not during the Canon of the Mass, or even popping in to visit former prostitutes with an army of paparazzi in tow (see here). From observing Francis, it would appear that the man does have serious issues in a clinical sense, and could in all likelihood be non compos mentis. In this situation, it would not be either Christian or Catholic to treat his behavior in a flippant or playful, let alone disrespectful manner. Any more so that it would be to poke fun at Dawid Bowden, the gentleman who thinks that he is Pope Michael. (see here)
Yet, when analyzing a man who is in charge of the OLDEST INSTITUTION in the history of man, and that is before we get to the supernatural level, these questions must be asked. When a senior level manager can not make rational decisions from objective and/or empirical data, then there is definitely something not in order. Once again, and for emphasis purposes, these questions must be asked.
Given the above, I have provided links to relevant posts that appeared on this blog since November of 2014. These post can be segregated into three categories:
Left Justified Posts
The first is the Soap Bubble Papacy™. These post chronicle the delusional behavior of Francis and the effect that it is in fact having on the Faithful. And just as with Mr. Bowden, one has to look at this mess and ask: why doesn’t he see this or why doesn’t someone close to Francis tell him?
Right Justified Posts
The second category can be termed the Restoration. These post detail the advance of the process of renewal, TRUE renewal that is taking place within the Catholic Church. This renewal is either ignored by the Pontiff, or what is worse, in
some ALL places it is actually being suppressed.
The third category are just general information about Francis, the bishop of Rome.
