And finally it’s coming to an end.
There is still counting going on, but it looks like the DemocRats will take the House while the Republicans will add BIGLY to their Senate majority.
Can’t call them all, but looking at the respective results from the two chambers, it would appear that the House results are an outlier.
One other aspect to the results. A lot of Rinos were replaced by Trump Republicans. It might not be apparent from just looking at the numbers, but the POTUS will have a much easier time with Executive Branch appointments and with the JUDGES and JUSTICES.
Which brings this thread to one observation: The Very Stable Genius must do something about the voter fraud.
As for the sentiment of this humble blogger, I concur with Ari above.

I live in Steve Scalise’s district and he is up for re-election. Nothing substantial on the ballot otherwise; some constitutional amendments, a few parish wide props on property millages and so forth, and some local elections.
Even though Scalise is a lock, the parking lot at my polling place this morning was full. I had to park across the street.

And the DemocRats voting is sporadic. I think they got paniced by the R’s early voting totals and started to bring out their dead to vote early.
Now a lot of their counties are showing it…

One thing I forgot to add; I went to the polls around 9:30 or 10:00 so what I saw wasn’t simply a rush of folks trying to get the vote done before heading off to work.
Again, this is a heavily republican district and it’s not like Steve Scalise is even close to being in danger of losing. He isn’t. I just think folks are pumped to vote. Anyway, that’s the report from my neck of the woods.
Goes without saying I suppose but voting and encouraging your friends and family to do so as well is part of the equation, but don’t forget to pray.

Fascinating how the polls always seem to show these last-weekend “changes.” I think Rush Limbaugh may have it right. He says most of the polls are intended to form rather than report opinion, so they always skew to the D side. At the end, most start reporting closer to the truth in an effort to preserve whatever reputation they think they have left. He also opines, and I tend to agree, that the vast majority of so-called “undecideds” are just people who refuse to tell a stranger how they intend to vote. These dramatic stories about groups supposedly “breaking” one way or the other are fake news, for the most part, intended to sell papers and boost ratings. Nearly everyone who votes made up their minds whom to vote for, at least in the key races, when they decided not to sit out the election.
I predict a massive red wave in which the GOP will hold the House and gain 3 to 6 seats in the Senate.
