clean-up

Today’s post will be an ORDER OF BUSINESS (OOB) post. The definition of OOB is: A matter, such as a task, that must be addressed. Today’s ORDER OF BUSINESS pertains to the CLEAN-UP effort that is underway to… CLEAN UP the MESS left by the “spirit of Vatican II”. And what a MESS it is!

Therefore, to help in this CLEAN-UP effort, I am republishing two posts. The first is from the CLEAN-UP effort undertaken by the cardinals. In a post at the Life Site News website, an interview appears. The interviewee is His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke. In the interview, Card. Burke sets out the PROCESS for CLEANING-UP the MESS made by the current FrancisBishop of Rome who is channeling the “spirit”.

Yet implicitly, Card. Burke sets his sights on the bigger MESS made by said “spirit”. Cross reference the responces given by Card. Burke with the information provided by Bishop Fellay during one of his recent conferences. Here is the passage: (see here)

It’s a catastrophe for the Church, but it’s good, it’s good that finally there is a reaction. It’s high time. And this reaction is growing. And now you have to reflect. How can someone oppose the pope? We know, we have given the explanation. It’s not now. It’s (been) years that we explained why we have the right to do so. But these bishops and cardinals what their doing now must also reflect and have the right answer, how in in which name do they have the right to oppose the pope. The Holy Father. The one who’s under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. These are all  the arguments that they gave to us, to say you must obey. So under which name now they say: disobey. Well, there is only one answer. It’s because the Church in the past has already spoken about these things. And given the answer. And that’s what we call Tradition. Precisely that. In other words, the only reason to oppose is the attitude we have. And these people are intelligent they realize that in fact what we do is just the right thing. We’ve been told that at the last meeting of the Congregation of the Faith, where they all meet together, all the cardinals and bishops which are members, we call that a plenaria, this is the full meeting, there was only one cardinal who said, ‘no, no. no, the Society must absolutely accept the whole council’. And other voices who said ‘these people do only one thing, (that is) to repeat what the Church has always taught’. So you see, there is something on the move…

Yes, we definately are living in interesting times…

The Card. Burke interview post I am re-publishing FOR THE RECORD with emphasis added.

The next post that I am republishing comes from the Restore-DC-Catholicism website. This post pertains to the meeting of the US Bishops’ Conference.

Now, on the one hand, the news is good in that the US Bishops elected His Eminence Daniel Cardinal Di Nardo as their President. I don’t think Francis will be pleased with that pick. But the explanation is for a different post…

But… and you knew there was a BUT coming…., just after the US Bishops do something GOOD, they then turn around and do this:

They opened their meeting by asking President-Elect Trump, in oh-so-thinly-veiled language, to adopt a policy of blanket amnesty to illegal immigrants.

Which leaves the Restore-DC-Catholicism author to formulate the following equation:

USCCB = Underlings of Soros Conducting Communist Business

Yes, a very good OBSERVATION. And it can also be understood as a “question in the form of a DUBIA”!

I will republish this excellent post below the Card. Burke post, since it has a very good suggestion that all the FAITHFUL should heed.

Furthermore, this suggestion is in line with the 6th and 2nd Principles of the LEX ARMATICUS, namely: Stop giving these leftists money! and Even Neo-modernists need to eat.

Specifically, what the Restore website proposes is that we Catholics should BOYCOTT the special collection for the CCHD that will take place this coming weekend.

I’m on board! (SEE HERE)

So as you see, the clergy and the FAITHFUL are trying to right the Barque of St. Peter.

And now…

FOR THE RECORD

BREAKING: Cardinal Burke says if Pope won’t clarify ‘serious error’, Cardinals must make ‘formal act of correction’ (see here)

ROME, November 15, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – After joining a group of four cardinals in releasing a call for Pope Francis to clarify grave errors in his apostolic exhortationAmoris Laetitia, Cardinal Raymond Burke has now indicated the cardinals are contemplating a “formal correction” should the pope fail to address their concerns.

The cardinals had written to the pope with their concerns on September 19, but after failing to receive a response for nearly two months, they released the letter publicly on Monday morning.

Now, in an interview with the National Catholic Register’s Ed Pentin, Burke discusses the next steps should the pope fail to address the cardinals’ concerns. Here is Pentin’s question and the cardinal’s response:

What happens if the Holy Father does not respond to your act of justice and charity and fails to give the clarification of the Church’s teaching that you hope to achieve?

Then we would have to address that situation. There is, in the Tradition of the Church, the practice of correction of the Roman Pontiff. It is something that is clearly quite rare. But if there is no response to these questions, then I would say that it would be a question of taking a formal act of correction of a serious error.

Burke goes on to insist that in a case of conflict between the pope and Church Tradition, the Tradition is binding. “Ecclesial authority exists only in service of the Tradition,” Burke explains. [NB: Archbishop Lefebvre’s position…] “I think of that passage of St. Paul in the [Letter to the] Galatians (1:8), that if ‘even an angel should preach unto you any Gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.’” […and Scriptural reference.]

Historically, in the rare cases where popes have taught heresy, Burke explains, “It is the duty…, and historically it has happened, of cardinals and bishops to make clear that the Pope is teaching error and to ask him to correct it.”

The September 19 letter, signed by Cardinals Walter Brandmüller, Raymond Burke, Carlo Caffarra, and Joachim Meisner, asked the pope 5 short questions which call for ‘yes or no’ answers that would immediately clarify the meaning of the confusion-plagued document on precisely those points where theologians, priests and even bishops have offered contradicting interpretations.

In the interview, Burke emphasizes that the cardinals have sought to act for “the good of the Church,” which, he says, “is suffering from a tremendous confusion” on the points they have raised especially. He notes, for example, that priests in different dioceses are being given contradictory directions on how to handle the question of access to Communion for those in adulterous unions.

“We, as cardinals, judged it our responsibility to request a clarification with regard to these questions, in order to put an end to this spread of confusion that is actually leading people into error,” he says.

“For us to remain silent about these fundamental doubts, which have arisen as a result of the text of Amoris Laetitia, would, on our part, be a grave lack of charity toward the Pope and a grave lack in fulfilling the duties of our own office in the Church,” he adds.

So the above is what the Cardinals are doing to CLEAN-UP the FrancisMESS.

And here is what the laity should do: (see here)

USCCB = Underlings of Soros Conducting Communist Business

That does seem to be the order of business at the USCCB meeting that opened in Baltimore yesterday.  They opened their meeting by asking President-Elect Trump, in oh-so-thinly-veiled language, to adopt a policy of blanket amnesty to illegal immigrants.  This, of course, is right out of the progressive marching orders.  As pointed out in the anthology of previous posts, there is plenty of money to be had with regards to illegal immigration (hopefully Trump will shut off that cash spigot).

The bishops are doing the bidding of their puppet-masters; that’s why they’ve put their bid for amnesty front and center.

When a sane, faithful Catholic thinks of issues for which the bishops might petition for governmental action, one thinks of intrinsic evils that pollute our culture.  These evils include:

  • The wholes-scale murder of helpless babies, aka, abortion
  • The growing threat of euthanasia
  • The enshrinement of homosexual perversions as societal norms that no one may question
  • The marginalization of Christians who live out their faith in their businesses

I don’t know where the meeting is happening, just that it is in Baltimore.  Would someone who knows please advise via comments?  Perhaps someone in the vicinity can go and lodge a protest there.

One thing we can all do to send the USCCB a message is to boycott the CCHD collection this coming weekend.
